Slavery
June 1864, I was
working like all my other friends, I got my daily whips and insults and started
working. I never knew what I was working for, but they made me work and work
but I knew tonight, that would all stop.
That night I ran
and escaped the plantation and ran to village where they cleaned me and helped
me. They told me to sit on this bench in front of a table and place down food. All
I got feed was prison food I just couldn’t
something so generous. I ran to where I could live and I wouldn’t have made
it if it weren’t for them.
